Summer Passport to Africa
The Arts Passport to Africa is a program exploring African culture, and history through the Performing Arts. Each week Students ‘travel’ to African Countries such as Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and The Congo to experience the unique culture of African people. Students will reflect on and creatively respond through dance, drama, art, painting and drumming. Students will demonstrate their knowledge and share their experience in the Summer Closing Kuumba Showcase. Participants will also have the opportunities to Travel to DC to visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture and virtually tour the live pool slavery museum.
